TYPICAL INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

 

Clean and prepare concrete floor

Prepare to install Volara foam onto concrete floor.

Roll-out Volara foam in preparation to set pedetals

Set carpeted pedestals in a grid format beginning in 1 corner of the room
Clean & prepare concrete floor Prepare to install Volara Foam Roll-out foam Set pedestals in grid format

Cut and fit edge trim panels to fill areas around posts and along walls where needed

Install the field cut edge tiles

Cut and trim carpet to be attached to edge trim.

Trim carpet around any protruding objects or posts

Layout pre-numbered cables to match electrical, data or voice grommets in the pedestals.

Raise the tiles required to set the cable in place and connect to the plug-and-play outlet ports.

Reset the tiles to cover the cables

How to get a quote for your facility

1. Download and complete the Site Survey form (above)

2. Fax (651-452-2264) or e-mail (info@custom-products.com) survey form to Custom Products

3. Please include a dimensional drawing of the room where the Powerflor is to be used.

4. We will provide a complete CAD drawing with bill of materials for your review.

All quotes include on-site installation by an authorized, certified Powerflor installation crew.

CARPETED PEDESTALS

  • Polycarbonate floor sections measures 50cm x50cm x3" High.
  • Includes carpet tile attached via pressure-sensitive adhesive.
  • Volara foam is placed on the concrete floor as an interface.
  • Each panel section is then set in place.
  • The tiles are NOT mechanically attached to the floor.
  • Pedestals are tested to support 41,000 p.s.i. (1140 lb/sq/in)
  • Class A fire rated under UL94 listing.
  • Perimeter panels, ramps and railings are standard options.
  • ADA compliant ramps and railings are available.
  • Entire system protected with 10 year warranty.

  • Outlets (data, voice or electrical) shown above.
  • Modules simply snap into pedestal opening.
  • Plug and play pigtail connects to main harness.
  • Outlet locations are 9" on-center in both directions
  • 4 circuit, true 20 Amp power sytem.
  • Totally plug & play CAT 5E preterminated cables.
  • No field punch-down wiring required. 
  • Fiber, pre-terminated cabling.
  • All data/Comm systems are TIA/EIA compliant and UL listed.
  • Relocate outlet where you want it, without rewiring or replacing.
  • Eliminates power poles, cores drilled through slab, etc.

Ramps Rails and Trim

  • Full selection of both NON-ADA and ADA Ramps
  • NON-ADA ramps are 1/6 slope x 18" Long
  • ADA ramps ramps are 1/12 slope x 36" Long or 1/20 x 52"
  • Z-Trim for edges the system when not stopped by wall.
